Tottenham ten minutes away from a third straight Premier League defeat - something that has never happened under Harry Redknapp.
- 78'
Jelavic comes off to a huge ovation and Denis Stracqualursi comes on.

Defoe has the ball in the net but he is offside. Bale's chest took the ball forward and the striker was a good two yards off.
- 75'
Parker wins a free kick when it looked like he'd taken the ball out of play. The delivery is long though and Everton are reprieved.
- 74'
The game is getting stretched now - I can smell another goal on the way.
- 72'
Great burst from Baines and a chance to slide Rodwell in but Jelavic had strayed offside and can't latch onto the pass.
- 71'
Great chance for Everton as Osman runs onto a ball from Coleman and has a clear sight of goal but his shot from 16 yards is right at Friedel when he should have gone across goal.
- 70'
Saha beats two men and gets into the area but his shot on goal hits Distin flush in the kisser.
- 69'
Super ball from Baines and a brilliant, twisting take from Fellini in the area but he can't get a shot off before Kaboul intervenes.

Van der Vaart is warming up and Jack Rodwell is preparing to come on.
- 63'
Kaboul takes it, and smashes the ball high and wide. What a waste.
- 62'
Coleman trips Sandro on the edge of the box and Spurs have a free kick 23 yards from goal bang in the centre. An attractive proposition for Bale, Modric et al.
- 61'
Sandro hacks clear the free kick before Spurs' break is interrupted by a foul on Heitinga by Defoe. The striker is booked.

Assou-Ekotto is carded for a trip on Drenthe as he chased down a looping ball. Free kick wide right.
- 59'
Bale's corner is awful though - over everybody and behind for a goal kick.
- 58'
Defoe hands off Heitinga before getting a shot off that is blocked behind for a corner. Should have been an Everton free kick.
- 57'
A cross breaks for Modric in the area but he smashes over the bar from 16 yards out. It was on his left foot but still, he should have done better.
- 56'
Sandro wins a header from Modric's corner but he can't direct it on goal as he was off balance.
- 55'
Clearly the gentleman's agreement was either a work of fiction or hasn't been adhered to.
- 54'
Now, Louis Saha is replacing Adebayor. A few boos but mostly applause for the returning Frenchman.
- 53'
Fine save again from Howard as Defoe runs into space and has a clear sight of goal. He hit it well enough but Howard was right behind it.
- 52'
This is shaping up to be a much better half. Spurs pressing, Everton playing on the break.
- 50'
More smart work from Defoe but a wildly ambitious shot from a tight angle.
- 49'
Distin again clears danger as Defoe drives into the box. Spurs a different team in this half, as you'd expect.
- 48'
Excellent tackle from Distin as Assou-Ekotto found Modric on the edge of the box.
- 47'
Better from Spurs within 30 seconds of the restart as Defoe collects Parker's pass and forces Howard into a save.

- 45'
HALF TIME The end of a half that was lit up briefly by Nikica Jelvaic's superbly taken goal. Tottenham need some serious improvement in the second half or they won't get anything from this game.
- 44'
Two poor crosses from Spurs and Everton can bring the ball clear.
- 43'
Adebayor was so keen to barge Cahill out of the way, the Everton player moves out of the way and watches as the striker slides off the field and collides with an advertising board.
- 42'
A good break from Everton after the corner was cleared to Drenthe, he finds Jelavic and only a diving Walker prevents a corner.
- 41'
The free kick falls to the back post where Sandro controls well but Heitinga is across swiftly to block.
- 40'
Defoe does win a free kick this time though, from Heitnga. Wide left on the touchline.
- 39'
Another example of the lack of relationship between Defoe and Adebayor as the former misplaces a pass to the latter.
- 38'
Adebayor feeds Bale who strikes first time but without power and Howard gobbles it up.
- 36'
Parker goes down after a flick from Neville, no free kick given and no complaints from Parker.
- 34'
It is still very quiet at Goodison Park. Drenthe falls over the ball and gives away a free kick.
- 33'
Jelavic forces a smart save from Friedel, with a curling effort.
- 32'
Now Sandro upends Cahill and Everton have a free kick 30 yards out and central.
- 31'
Walker crosses from the right but Modric challenges Fellaini in the air and there is only one winner in that duel. Then he tries a snapshot from range that Howard saves.
- 29'
Bale strikes a right wobbler, that has Howard scrambling across, but the ball whistles past the post.
- 28'
Defoe and Adebayor haven't linked up well yet. Spurs have a free kick now as Cahill clips Parker.
- 26'
Jelavic is looking a bit clumsy up front in open play - he's clearly desperate to make an impression. His goal has been at odds with the rest of his game.
- 25'
Very little from Spurs since the goal. No purchase up front.
- 24'
Another mistake from Spurs as Parker gives the ball away, Osman crosses but can't pick out a blue shirt.
- 23'
What a way to endear yourself to your new club! A really good finish from Jelavic.
- 22'
A fine, fine finish. A lovely turn from Osman, past Kaboul into the box, he squares it to Jelavic who side-foots on the volley into the corner, via a flick off the post. Quality effort.
- 22'
GOAL Jelavic with a beauty!
- 21'
A genuine save! Jelavic wins a ball dinked into the area and Fellaini strikes on gaol from a narrow angle, prompting Friedel to stick out a leg and save well.
- 20'
Baines turns inside and strikes on goal before Osman tracks Adebayor and wins the ball to prevent a dangerous situation developing.
- 19'
Drenthe wins a free kick on the touchline.
- 18'
Fantastic tackle from Heitinga as Defoe turned past him initially - just as the striker was about to strike on goal he gets a touch to ensure the shot skews wide.
- 17'
Coleman does get a shot off, but a deflection takes the sting out of it and delivers the ball into Friedel's arms.
- 16'
A slice of spce for Modric on the edge of the box but he wasn't comfortable striking with his left, tries to come onto his right and the chance is lost.
- 15'
Parker tries to spring Defoe through but he was offside.
- 14'
At the other end Cahill wins a good flick on but it doesn't fall anywhere near Jelavic.
- 13'
Distin nods back to Howard after a long punt bounced over his head.
- 12'
Bale gets down the right and crosses but Distin nods clear.
- 11'
Jelavic wins a header in the box but Assou-Ekotto tidies up.
- 10'
It seems a little early to say it, but this game needs a goal.
- 8'
David Moyes' father is in the crowd to watch his son's ten year anniversary. Hardly a carnival atmosphere to see it in.
- 7'
Bit more from Spurs now with a good spell of possession in the middle of the pitch. Subdued atmosphere in the ground. Like everyone is half asleep.
- 6'
Everton on top in the early stages, this time Coleman crosses and Kaboul clears again.
- 5'
Great cross from Drenthe, nicely defended by Kaboul, then Coleman makes space for a shot but dribbles it wide.
- 4'
Kaboul looks long for Defoe - not an option that will reap rewards I would humbly suggest.
- 3'
Excellent defneding from Distin as Bale is gifted possession, he sends the winger wide and then blocks the cross. Corner.
- 2'
A pretty subdued opening, with much of the football being played in the middle of the park.

KICK OFF
Spurs' recent run means Arsenal have closed to within four points of their rivals. A win would provide some welcome breathing space. For Everton, a win would take them from 13th, to 9th.
A bit of confusion about Saha, who is in fact on Tottenham's bench. There is an agreement between Redknapp and Moyes, but I'm not sure exactly what it is. Maybe he can come on after a certain time? Odd.
Gareth Bale, Scott Parker and Jermain Defoe return to Tottenham's line-up.
Everton make three changes from the side that drew at QPR with Nikica Jelavic handed a first start and Seamus Coleman and Leon Osman back. Steven Pienaar and Louis Saha are both ineligible.
Afternoon all, welcome to live commentary on Tottenham's trip to Everton, a match that is live on ESPN UK.
