- 78'
Sneijder burst onto a loose ball after Coutinho and Ambrosini clashed, and he strokes a ball right across the face of goal. All it needed was a touch.
- 77'
It's all hands to the pump for Milan now as Inter commit more and more men forward.
- 75'
Sloppy play from Eto'o as he is flagged offside when there was no need to be.
- 74'
The pattern for the rest of the game seems set now as Milan keep everyone behind the ball and soak up pressure.
- 73'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Seedorf is replaced by Kevin-Prince Boateng.
- 72'
Cordoba hacks at Ibrahimovic and the striker wins a free kick. He's been in good nick tonight.
- 71'
Sneijder tries what must be his tenth effort from distance and this one is probably the worst of the lot.
- 70'
Antonini latches on to a Seedorf pass but as he gets into the area he realises he is all alone with no-one to cross to. He waits and tries to return the ball to Seedorf but Inter tidy up.
- 69'
Stankovic is the latest to have a pop from range but yet again, it is too high.
- 68'
A good effort from Seedorf who hits a shot on the run and fires it narrowly wide of the post.
- 67'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Materazzi goes off and Biabiany is on.
- 65'
Inter's players were furiously demanding a red card but it looked far worse than it was. Ibrahimovic actually pulled out of the challenge but he was still aerial and couldn't avoid making contact.
- 64'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/yellow_card.jpg" height="15"> Ibrahimovic is carded for a high challenge on Materazzi. The defender hits the ground with a thump and that looked painful.
- 63'
Sneijder finds Pandev inside the area but his shot was scuffed and trickles towards Abbiati.
- 62'
Another try from range from Sneijder but again his shot is right at Abbiati.
- 61'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Robinho is sacrificed after Abate's sending off, and Luca Antonini is on.
- 60'
Its heating up now as Chivu wins the ball from Seedorf and the pair have a row. They finally shake hands.
- 59'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/yellow_card.jpg" height="15"> Pandev was booked for his part in the row too.
- 58'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/red_card.jpg" height="15"> Abate gets another yellow and Milan will play the last half an hour with ten men. It was a needless shoving match and he is punished for his stupidity.
- 57'
Pandev and Abate have a big bust up and now everyone is getting involved.
- 55'
Sneijder's effort from the free kick is fierce but right at Abbiati, who bats it away.
- 54'
Ambrosini hurls himself into Eto'o and is very lucky not to get booked.
- 53'
Another long range effort, this time from Seedorf, but his shot is too high to trouble Castellazzi.
- 52'
Milan look like they are sitting quite deep now, inviting their opponents onto them.
- 51'
Slightly better from Inter this half but still no clear cut chances to speak of. Sneijder fires in a long range effort but it flies over the bar.
- 49'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> I should have mentioned that Andrea Pirlo has replaced Gattuso, presumably before the latter was sent off.
- 48'
A poor cross from Zanetti lets Ambrosini off the hook as it was he who surrendered possession.
- 47'
A decent opening for Seedorf as Abate finds him down the right but the veteran's shot is poor and well wide.
- 46'
We begin again...
- 45'
<b>HALF TIME</b> A bright opening, but the game tailed off towards the break. Ibrahimovic's penalty hands Milan a deserved lead and Benitez has plenty of thinking to do.
- 45'
Nesta floats in a ball that Lucio flicks behind. Corner for Milan.
- 44'
Acres of space for Robinho as he fires in a shot, blocked by Materazzi. Inter just aren't getting tight enough.
- 43'
Stankovic tries an ambitious effort from distance and though he struck it well it never looked like troubling Abbiati.
- 41'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/yellow_card.jpg" height="15"> Zanetti is carded for a lunge on Ambrosini.
- 40'
Good covering from Abate as he nods away Coutinho's crossfield pass.
- 39'
Half the ground think Sneijder has scored as his free kick clips the net but his effort was narrowly wide.
- 37'
Lucio reads Seedorf's pass easily and sets Inter away before Gattuso hauls down Sneijder. The referee was about to get a card out before he realised who it was, and once again, the midfielder gets a final warning.
- 36'
Then at the other end Coutinho drags a shot wide after a neat Inter move.
- 35'
Robinho tries to find Ibrahimovic and he goes over when faced with Materazzi but nothing is doing.
- 35'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Well, Cambiasso was stripped and ready but now Coutinho has got the nod to replace Obi.
- 33'
Looks like Obi has pulled a hamstring. Cambiasso is stripped and ready.
- 32'
Robinho drives towards the area and looks for Ibrahimovic but the ball is whisked away by Chivu.
- 30'
Neither side can hit their attacking targets at the moment. There is a distinct lack of midfield quality at the moment.
- 28'
Lucio barges into Gattuos and is perhaps lucky not to see yellow.
- 27'
Milito tries to return Obi's pass but Nesta is in the way. The game has gone very scrappy.
- 26'
You fear for Benitez if his team relinquish their record of 52 unbeaten games at home to their most bitter rivals.
- 25'
Sneijder's corner is poor and Ambrosini clears at the near post. Benitez does not look happy on the touchline.
- 24'
Obi wins a corner down the left after his cross was diverted behind by Abate.
- 23'
Another Inter move falls down in the final third.
- 22'
Rafael Benitez needs to do something here because Milan could be out of sight if it carries on like this.
- 20'
Robinho has the ball in the net but he was a yard offside when he collected Ibra's ball.
- 19'
Ambrosini floats a lovely ball to the back post and Ibra, in Van Basten style, volleys just over the bar. What a strike.
- 18'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/yellow_card.jpg" height="15"> Gattuso charges into Obi and gets carded. He seems baffled, but I've no idea why.
- 17'
Inter have been pretty much redundant as an attacking force in this game so far, and dodgy at the back.
- 15'
Seedorf cuts inside and tries a shot but Zanetti blocks it, then Ibra opens up a chance with some neat control, he elects to volley the ball across goal and Materazzi hooks it clear.
- 14'
Tidy defending from Silva as he denies Milito the chance to get on the end of Sneijder's long pass.
- 13'
Abbiati is out to claim the corner and he launches a counter attack as Ibra springs the offside trap and crosses for Flamini but Cordoba did brilliantly to put him off his stride.
- 12'
Eto'o wins a corner off Gattuso.
- 11'
Thiago Silva hands the ball right to Eto'o, then Nesta nudges the Inter man off the ball as he raced towards the box. No foul given.
- 10'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/yellow_card.jpg" height="15"> Abate is carded for tugging back Eto'o after the striker had beaten him by the touchline.
- 9'
That was an emphatic penalty from Ibrahimovic, and Materazzi can have no complaints after hacking the striker's ankle in the box.
- 7'
Eto'o cuts in and feigns a shot, but then hangs on to it too long and Abate toes the ball away from him.
- 6'
Seedorf clips the ball out of play under no pressure. No Inter player seems to be closing him down at all yet.
- 5'
<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Ibra picks himself up to slot the penalty and score against his former club. What a start for Milan!
- 4'
Milan penalty! Materazzi hauls down Ibrahimovic and that is a nailed on spot kick.
- 3'
Abate does really well down the right and sends in a delicious cross and Seedorf, with time to spare, fluffs his header from eight yards out. A golden chance.
- 2'
Robinho tries to release Ibrahimovic but the striker is offside, and obviously gets jeered by the Inter faithful.
