Sunderland against Everton

Didn't think that would stay like that, it's been end to end. Who wants a winner?

GOAL Arteta scores! He cuts inside, and the ball takes a huge deflection off Bardsley and goes in! That was lucky.

Handbags from Bardsley and Rodwell. A tasty tackle comes in, and some afters. Rodwell in the book.

GOAL Welbeck again! A header, as the ball is whipped in from Richardson following a corner. Man Utd (former) feeds Man Utd (current). It's 2-1!

Welbeck robs the ball and it's a three-on-two. He slips Bent in, but Bent wastes a shot instead of returning it to the unmarked Welbeck.

Comment from J Hungin: ''That was Hollywood goalkeeping if I've ever seen it.'' In responce to Gordon's flap at a cross.

Constant pressure from Everton, but Sunderland are counter attacking. There is a goal in this!

Great tackle from Jagielka as Richardson gets away down the left. That could have been dangerous.

Bent put through as he runs between the defenders, but Distin is strong and muscles the striker out.

Darren Bent unleashes a volley, but his effort flies just wide of the near post. That was close!

Turner clears it off the line! Cahill could have had a second after heading it over Gordon, but the defender got there just in time and collided with the post.

Sunderland look the more likely to score and Zenden nearly intercepts just outside the box.

Cattermole bursts forward. He's stopped in the box and it rebounds to Zenden, who fires his shot against Jagielka.

Welbeck has a go, but Howard is behind it. A decent shot, but not really troubling the American keeper.

Welbeck picks the ball up from Richardson, but his ball across the box finds noone.

Sunderland need to go for the throat here, they had some decent chances, but really need to get a handle on the game this half.

KICK-OFF. Sunderland start the 2nd half.

HALF-TIME. A pretty open half of football. Plenty of chances for either side and I'm not sure this one will end 1-1. Join us again in 15...

Everton camped on the edge of the Sunderland box, great interplay between Arteta and Pienaar. But the chance is wasted as Coleman heads over when trying to get the ball back across goal.

Gordon comes for the ball, but loses it. Cahill causes problems and lays it off to Distin who can shoot without the keeper there... but he balloons it over the bar.

Cahill caught offside, but Everton are offering little in attack.

Richardson charges forward and unleashes a right foot shot. Narrowly wide.

Great strength from Zenden and it was an easy tap in. Why he was not marked is something David Moyes may be asking at half-time.

GOAL It's been coming. Zenden bursts down the right, gets the cross in low and Welbeck is there to stab home inside the six-yard box.

Zenden pulling the strings, but his through ball fails to find anyone. It's all been in the air so far, so probably why noone expected that!

Richardson and Coleman grapple on the floor. The ref is giving them a talking to, but there's nothing major, it was just a tussle on the turf.

Sunderland piling on the pressure and it's all hands to the pump for Everton. They are defending in numbers.

More free-kicks.. for Sunderland again. And it's not far out. Four Sunderland players around the ball, but it's Hendersen who hits it...

Sunderland get a free-kick, but as Zenden piles it towards Turner, Distin heads clear.

The Sunderland defence parted and Cahill needs no second opportunity from that range.
