FULL-TIME: England were completely out-played by Denmark, who were sharper in the tackle, more enthusiastic and determined, and thoroughly deserved their win.
This has now turned in to something of an embarrassing evening for England; Sven is going to have a few interesting questions to answer at the press conference.
GOAL! Larsen gets on the end of a through-ball and prods past James from the edge of the area. The England goalkeeper didn't cover himself in glory with that goal, either.
Denmark are only fourth in their qualifying group for the World Cup, but they have been quite impressive tonight.
Three minutes will be added.
Rooney collects Beckham's pass through the middle, turns and tries to find Owen; Nielsen stands up well, however, and robs the England striker as he attempted to pass him.
A consolation goal for England, but Rooney has probably deserved it; he has been one of England's better players throughout. And it came about from a great pass from Beckham - from the right flank; his natural position.

xG, big chances, touches and duels are ESPN's numbers; other sites' models can differ a little.
FULL-TIME: England were completely out-played by Denmark, who were sharper in the tackle, more enthusiastic and determined, and thoroughly deserved their win.
GOAL! Rooney latches on to Beckham's excellent curling ball from the right, and tucks a great finish under Sorensen.
SUB: Poulsen off, Daniel Jensen on. The younger brother of Niclas comes on with five minutes to go. Gravesen receives some late instructions from his coach on the touchline.
David James earns some ironic cheers when he comes out of his area to clear as Rommedahl sprinted on to Perez's through-ball.
Ashley Cole has shown a lot more aggression in the second half. He is booked for a two-footed, scissor-challenge on Rommedahl. Beckham remonstrates with the referee, but he can have no complaints.
SUB: Jenas on, Gerrard off. England's sixth and final change is to bring on Newcastle midfielder Jenas for Gerrard, who hasn't made any impression on the game this evening.
Kahlenberg wins another corner for his side, his attempted cross being put behind by Johnson.
Again, Beckham pops up on the left wing, but his cross in to the middle is easily cleared. The England captain has at least tried to lift his side through his determination, but he needs to show more positional discipline.
Glen Johnson is booked for a late challenge out on the touchline on Gravesen. England comfortably clear the free-kick, but again lose possession on the break.
Denmark are still throwing numbers forward whenever they have the chance, and still look threatening.
Rooney has the chance to run at a Danish defender inside the penalty area, but instead he plays an unsual ball with the outside of his foot, to no-one in particular.
Oooh! Owen wins a race to the ball with Sorensen, but his out-stretched leg can only poke the ball wide from a tight angle.
Although England fans shouldn't be overly worried by the performance and result in Copenhagen tonight, there are signs that England have a bit of work to do if they are to avoid slipping up against Wales next month.
Hargreaves has injected some aggression and determination in to the England side since he came on.
Perez curls in a corner from the left; James attempts to run through four players as he comes to punch, but gets nowhere near the ball. Fortunately, an England head clears.
DANISH SUB: Jensen off, Perez on. Fulham midfielder Jensen has been excellent in the second half, creating the second goal and causing Glen Johnson plenty problems down the Denmark left.
Gerrard and Lampard have been virtually anonymous since half-time, and Owen has barely touched the ball.
Ashley Cole receives some instructions from Sven on the touchline. Probably along the lines of: "Pull your finger out, young man."
Sorry to keep harping on about this, but Beckham's insistence on chasing the ball and attempting to lead every single attack is really hurting his side; they have absolutely no shape.
England win a corner when Beckham's cross-shot is deflected behind. Ferdinand flicks on at the near post, but the ball is eventually cleared.
The scoreline is perhaps a little flattering, but Denmark have completely outplayed England since the break. The visitors have been sloppy, have looked jaded and disinterested, and Denmark have taken full advantage.
GOAL! Incredible! Jensen whips the corner in to the near post, where Gravgaard jumps with Gerrard and nods the ball past a helpless James.
Beckham is forced to put the ball out for another Denmark corner; he looks angry, but it was he who lost possession in the first place.
England have been woeful since the break, and have been taken apart by the more determined home side. And James should have done better on both goals; he's blown any chance he might have had of displacing Robinson as England number one.
SUBS: Lampard off, Hargreaves on for England. Larsen on, Tomasson off for Denmark. More changes, as the coaches continue to experiment ahead of the more important qualifiers next month.
GOAL! Jensen gets the better of Johnson down the right. He crosses low in to the area, Cole does well to prod half-clear, but Tomasson slots the loose ball past a sprawling James.
The crowd have reacted noisily to Denmark taking the lead; Denmark have never beaten England in their own country. Could this be a night of history?
Poulsen makes a crucial challenge after Rooney slips a nice ball in to the path of Owen inside the Denmark penalty area.
It was a poor piece of judgement from James; he shouldn't have come for the ball as Tomasson sprinted on to Kahlenberg's pass.
GOAL! Tomasson breaks from the Denmark half, James comes flying out of his area and misses the ball. Tomasson retains his composure, cuts the ball back to Rommedahl, who slots in to an empty net from two yards out.
Another Beckham free-kick ends in the arms of the goalkeeper. Denmark then break at great pace...
Oooh! A swift, decisive counter attack from Denmark ends with Kahlenberg spinning and firing a low shot which James does well to gather. The off-side flag makes the save irrelevent anyway.
Rooney shows great strength to hold up James' long kick from goal. He holds off his marker before trying to slip Owen through, though the Danes hold their shape and defend well.
Owen wins his side a free kick when he is fouled by Nielsen, thirty yards out. Beckham again chooses not to shoot, instead lofts a ball towards Lampard in the area. Denmark are alert, however, and clear the danger.
Gravesen hurls another flat, powerful throw in to the England area, but his time Agger is penalised for jumping on his marker.
Gravesen sprays a superb pass out to the right to Rommedahl; his cross is cut out at full stretch by Carragher. England have barely got in to Denmark's half since the break.
England have started this second half as poorly as they started the first; they are giving possession away willy-nilly, and Denmark are mounting a little pressure.
Ferdinand is forced to head clear after substitute Kahlenberg beats Glen Johnsen to the by-line.
Ashley Cole, for one, doesn't seem remotely interested in the game; he has been weak in the tackle, reluctant to get forward and generally lethargic throughout.
There has been a definite lack of determination and enthusiasm from certain members of the England team.
Again, Beckham takes it upon himself to drift off the right wing; this time he comes all the way over to the left to try and get on the ball. Instead, Denmark break in to the enormous gap he has left, and only a wayward cross prevents Tomasson getting the chance to head for goal.
It's been a poor start to the half by both sides, with possession repeatedly being squandared by poor passing.
Neville and Terry picked up 'slight knocks' in the first half, I'm told, though nothing too serious.
Denmark kick off the second half.
SUB: Rommedahl and Gravgaard have come on for Denmark, though it's unclear at the moment who they have replaced.
SUBS: Owen, James, Carragher, Johnson on; Defoe, Robinson, Terry and Neville off. Odd decision to replace Defoe, with the Wales game looming.
HALF-TIME: Rooney chats with the referee as the players depart down the tunnel. England perhaps had the better of the half, though it was all a little lacklustre.
Claus Jensen bends the ball towards the near post, but Poulsen heads well wide. He was unmarked.
Niclas Jensen slips a nice ball down the line to Jorgensen, who wins a corner kick off Ferdinand.
Rooney is again frustrated as he has his shirt pulled in midfield. He wins no sympathy from the referee, but maintains his composure to track back and win the ball back from Poulsen.
Michael Owen is seen warming up on the sidelines; there is a good chance he'll get on sometime early in the second half.
Rooney has certainly come to life in the last ten minutes or so. He collects the ball around 30 yards out and fires a low shot goalwards, though it is blocked on the edge of the penalty area.
England have finished the half a lot stronger than their opponents, but there isn't much in it.
Rooney is getting a little frustrated at the recent decisions that have gone against him; he pulls back Agger, then kicks the ball gently against the young centre-back as he lies on the floor.
Oooh! Beckham releases Neville down the right. The United man places a low cross in to the middle, but Nielsen holds off Rooney to put the ball out for a corner. Rooney claims he was fouled by his marker. The referee disagrees.
Oooh! Jensen curls a shot goalwards, but Robinson collects easily. Again, the Danish midfielder had plenty time to line up his attempt.
Oooh! More encouraging play from England. Rooney shows great strength to get in behind the Danish defence and cut a pass back in to the area, though Lampard's shot from 12 yards is blocked by Agger.
Neville is angry about something; he screws his face in to an unspeakably ugly ball and shouts some unmentionable obsentities in the direction of his perceived foe. No-one seems to care.
Oooh! Rooney has a goal disallowed for a slight shove on his marker as he burst on to Cole's cute through-ball. Replays show the decision might have been a little soft, but the England striker did have his arm on Poulsen.
Beckham is doing a similar thing from the right; attempting to dominate the game from the middle of the park. Unfortunately, it means that England are very narrow, with few options out wide.
Joe Cole hasn't really had the chance to impress in the first half-hour, so he is increasingly coming inside from his position on the left wing in an effort to get more time on the ball.
The game has livened up again in the last few minutes, with Denmark finally attacking the English defenders with a bit of pace and determination.
From the resulting corner, Terry rises highest but his header is deflected over the bar for a second corner. This time, the Danes clear easily.
Oooh! At last, a goalkeeper is forced in to a meaningful save, Sorensen palming away Defoe's effort from Rooney's low cross.
The referee is called Tom Henning Ovrebo. He's doing his best to let the game flow.
The referee looks like a fatter version of Gravesen; like a nightclub bouncer, with a fondness for pies and 'cracking heads'.
There isn't even any hefty challenges to spark the game in to life, though Defoe does clip the heels of Priske, sending the full-back toppling to the turf.
The game has lost a bit of the pace and passion that it started with, and is being played now at the pace you'd expect of an international friendly - slow, to moribund.
Gronkjaer tries to send in a low cross in to the middle, but Terry cuts it out easily. Denmark are only playing with one striker at the moment - Tomasson - and the England defenders are marking him out of the match with considerable ease.
Danmark coach Morten Olsen becomes a little aggitated on the sidelines as his side give away possession in the final third.
England haven't been terribly impressive in the opening stages; they haven't looked very cohesive, and are giving the ball away too easily.
Gravesen fires in a shot from 25 yards, but Robinson collects comfortably. The former Everton midfielder had a lot of time to line up his attempt though; England will need to close down quicker than that.
Oooh! Sorensen's poor pass puts Agger in trouble. Beckham pounces on the mistake, whips in a good cross, but the goalkeeper makes up for his error by diving gleefully on the loose ball.
Denmark knock the ball about at the back, and diplay some considerable composure as Rooney and Beckham hunt down possession.
Defoe collects a clever through-ball from Rooney. He checks on to his right foot, but his long-range shot is blocked. Beckham collects the loose ball out on the right, but his cross is cleared. More promising signs from England.
A long throw from Neville almost releases Beckham down the right, but Agger is quick to see the danger and head clear.
Oooh! A nice attacking move from the Danes ends when Tomasson collects a low cross, latys the ball back to Claus Jensen, who smashes a right-foot shot high over the bar.
Oooh! Beckham fizzes a low shot a foot or so wide of Sorensen's post, after collecting the ball 25 yards out. Nice attempt from the England captain.
A man in the crowd entertains his friends with his trumpet playing; I think he's currently reciting the Eastenders theme tune.
Beckham spreads a wonderful ball out to Defoe. The Spurs striker lays a pass in to the path of Lampard, who fires his shot straight at the goalkeeper from the edge of the area. Nice move.
England have spent most of the opening ten minutes on the back foot; they are struggling to keep hold of the ball in midfield, under some good pressure from the Danes.
Steve McClaren is very vocal on the sidelines, though Sven is much more laid-back in the dug-out. He looks like he could be at the opera: Don Geovanni, perhaps.
The Danes look splendid in their magnificent bold, red shirts and white shorts. A splendid set of young men.
A heavy touch from Rooney in the middle of the park loses possession for England, though the defence does well to win the ball back. England are struggling to get a foot-hold in this match at the moment.
Gravesen fires in a flat, hard throw from the right wing, which Terry does well to head clear. This has been a good start by the home side; they seem very keen.
Priske wins a second corner for his side when his cross is deflected behind by Ferdinand. Lampard heads clear for England, though Denmark maintain the pressure on the visitors.
Rooney wins a free-kick forty yards out. Beckham lofts the ball in to Neville, who had pulled away to the far post, but his header back across goal is eventually collected by Sorensen.
There are three players in the Denmark starting line-up who currently play in the Premiership; Claus and Niclas Jensen (Fulham) and Sorensen (Villa). Three others in the starting XI have played in the English top-flight.
Denmark have two Jensens on the pitch at the moment, Niclas and Claus. Niclas' younger brother is also on the bench, which could cause great confusion should he be brought on later.
Rio Ferdinand gives away a needless corner when his pass-back goes twenty yards astray. Jensen curls the ball in to the near post, but England head clear.
Apparently, around 6,000 England fans have made the trip over to see the match, and they are making themselves heard.
So, the international season begins. England kick off, in a stadium with a superb atmosphere.
The Danish anthem is a very uplifting little number, inspiring images of great Viking banquets where chunks of meat and jugs of mead are served to enormous men by attractive young maidens.
The two teams line up for the national anthems. Jon Dahl Tomasson receives a bouquet of flowers, for some unspecified reason. God Save the Queen belts out; only Neville and Rooney fail to sing along.
The players are lining up in the tunnel. There seems to be a very relaxed attitude, though Gary Neville looks particularly grumpy about something.
The pitch inside the stadium is looking a little tatty, it must be said; apparently, there was a U2 concert recently, and, amongst all the excitement and jumping and singing and dancing, the grass took something of a battering.
England line up with their ususal 4-4-2 formation, with Rooney and Defoe up front for the visitors.
The kick-off in Copenhagen has been delayed for five minutes, to allow for all the fans to get inside this 42,000-seater stadium.
It's England's last warm-up game before the crucial qualifying double-header next month. Will Sven learn anything from this clash with Denmark? Join us for live commentary from 19:00 BST
