- 63'
United staring down the barrel of a first home defeat in 37 games.
- 62'
Both City goals have come from Silva passes to Milner and crosses for Balotelli. Brilliant.

From this one the ball comes out to Rooney on the edge of the box but his shot is right at Hart.

Good spell for United this as Rooney finds Fletcher who feeds Smalling and his shot wins another corner.

- 54'
Balotelli crosses for Aguero, who shanks a volley but Richards collects before cutting inside and wildly shanking wide. City need a second here.
- 53'
The replay shows that Anderson challenge on Richards was a nailed on penalty. Clattenberg probably scared to give it so soon after the red. Mancini just laughed when it wasn't given.
- 52'
Rooney fires a long ball for Welbeck but he has no-one in support and is eventually tackled by Lescott.
- 51'
Richards gets into the box and goes down in a tangle with Anderson, the ref says no penalty as it was a coming together not a foul. Hmmm.
- 50'
Phil Jones warms up in earnest, for the moment Fletcher has gone to right back with Smalling in the middle.
- 49'

- 41'
More danger for United as Milner slips Aguero in but Evra blocks his shot, then as the home side break, Kompany trips Welbeck off the ball and is booked.
- 40'
The corner is worked short, Rooney is at the back post and volleys back for Evans, who totally misses his kick from seven yards out.
- 39'
A slice of spce for Welbeck, whose pass to Rooney is just too strong - had it been right the striker was in. United regroup and win a corner.

- 29'
United reeling a little after the goal and struggling to fashion anything up front.
- 28'
Arsenal are ahead, Gervinho finishing well after Ramsey's dinked pass, 1-0 against Stoke.
- 27'
Young whips in a cross from the left and though Hart dives across, he always had it covered.
- 26'
Micah Richards shows a bit of intoxication from the goal by trying to lob De Gea from 50 yards. It goes wide, needless to say.
- 25'
So, how will United react? They had been dominant until that point and will now have to fashion a way through City's packed defence.
- 24'
City are on fire now, as Clichy drives to the edge of the box, finds Aguero and his cross is just a little too high for Balotelli, who must be a cert to get sent off after that booking.
- 23'
Balotelli is booked for revealing his t-shirt, which seems ridiculous to me, especially given how funny it was. He didn't remove it, just pulled it over his head, a la Paul Scharner yesterday.
- 22'
A cross from Milner and a side-footed finish from Balotelli, who puts his shirt over his head to reveal a t-shirt that reads "Why always me?" Brilliant.
- 22'
GOAL Balotelli scores!
- 20'
Balotelli has a go at the bench as Mancini gives him some instructions. Can't help feeling Dzeko would have been a better option if City are staying so deep - he's better than either Mario or Aguero as an outlet ball.
- 19'
United are struggling to find the killer pass as City revert into last season mode and sit on the edge of their box.
- 18'
Aguero is back on the edge of his own box hassling Young - a sign of how City are operating.
- 17'
Toure's passing has been very sloppy - not what you need in a derby.
- 16'
City are sitting pretty deep, operating more negatively than we thought they might.
- 15'
Nice ball from Fletcher to Young out wide and a really good ball in - only problem was that Rooney and Welbeck had both gone near post.
- 14'
City come alive as Silva twists inside the area and keeps hold of the ball in the face of four players, it ends with Toure's effort being nodded behind by Evans.
- 13'
Smalling is in hard on Balotelli who goes down clutching his knee. He's up now though. The United defender keen to give his opponent an early rocket. Athankyou.
- 12'
A demonstration of how slack City have been comes with Silva giving the ball away under no pressure. Very unlike him.
- 11'
Toure hoofs the ball upfield and United come again - City can get no foothold in the game so far. Aguero nor Balotelli are providing any presence up front.
- 10'
Balotelli gets up well to nod Young's free kick clear. City penned in at the minute. They've no outlet up front, as United win another corner.
- 9'

An early bit of pressure from City as Aguero partially charges down a De Gea clearance. He and Nani jostle in the box but a goal kick is the outcome.

KICK OFF
The players shout encouragement to their respective colleagues in the tunnel and emerge to a wall of Old Trafford noise. Both are unbeaten to date - something has got to give this afternoon.
Even Sir Alex says he is "surprised" by City's team.
Of course, there are two other 1.30pm kick-offs in the Premier League this afternoon. I'll keep you bang up to date with Arsenal v Stoke and Fulham v Everton as the goals go in.
It's a surprising City line up all round - Toure is drafted in late on after De Jong was injured in the warm up, and Nasri starts on the bench.
And no Vidic for United, not even on the bench. Evans the man partnering Ferdinand in a defence that has been creaky this season.
Starting the unpredictable Balotelli is a gamble by Mancini, in particular as the environment at Old Trafford is likely to be fierce. Yesterday, the Italian made the headlines once again for off-the-field reasons.
