Arsenal against Leyton Orient

That's the ditty from the East London massive.

"Oh, Ori, Ori, Ori, Ori, Ori, Ori-ent."

Nasri overruns it and cannot aim his cross from the byline at a team-mate.

Daniels booms in a free-kick. Almunia fouled. Arsenal break.

Squilacci clears as Cox went on a meander through.

Denilson's pass is poor and he seems to be jeered. Never happy, some people.

Total Gunners dominance. They may expect the same in the Nou Camp next week so perhaps should enjoy having the ball while they can. Sunderland next, of course.

It comes to nothing. Shame.

Respite for Orient? They are passing the ball well for a spell.

Gibbs out on the left, good ball in as Chamakh lurked. Cleared by some good defending too.

Ironic jeers for an Orient pass that was misplaced. Some decorum, please. What happened to patronising the minnow?

Wilshere wants a goal. He's stopped in his quest for it at the the edge of the Orient 18-yard area.

Ten minutes to go, agony for Orient. A training exercise for Arsenal.

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/yellow_card.jpg" height="15"> Cox booked for a lunge. He was lucky. If this was more of a contest he may well have seen read.

Bal Hearn is smiling. He does a lot of that. This has been his nicest little earner since "Snooker Loopy" hit the Top Ten of the Hit Parade in 1986.

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> 5-0 Clichy has a goal. Ball drifted to the left and he slaps it into the net. A rare goal for the longest serving Gunner. His second in fact of his entire career.

Tehoue gets a touch. It is, safe to say, not in the same class as his last touch against Arsenal.

An Orient goal would be nice, if only to see Barry Hearn's reaction. His team's failure here means we are likely to hear him talk more about the Olympic Stadium.

Wing defends well, this is a procession. Wilshere's cross is too high.

"Leyton Orient, by the far the greatest team the world has ever seen." Apparently.

Nice skill from Chamakh released Henderson, Wilshere was on the end of the ball but not tall enough.

3-0 City - David Silva. Reading await.

Chamakh down the channel but his ball goes back to the keeper.

An exhausting round of subbing there.

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Off goes Diaby, on comes Clichy.

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> No double hat-trick for Bendtner - he is replaced by Jack Wilshere.

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Off goes Scott McGleish. On comes Tehoue.

Rosicky meanwhile is staggering to the dressing room and looks not very well at all.

Back to the action now, and Bendtner serves as an auxiliary defender to tackle back when there was danger - as much as there can be in these circumstances.

Bendtner becomes the first Arsenal FA Cup hat-tricker since Ian Wright Wright Wright v Yeovil in 1993. Gunners won the Cup that year.

It was definite penalty and Arsenal will definitely meet Manchester United in the next round.

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Nasri on for Rosicky.

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Bendtner places it in the net. And has his hat-trick.

Penalty! Gibbs makes a fine run, beating Chorley twice over and Revell fouls him.

Rosicky looks groggy - and has often played that way this season - and will be replaced by Samir Nasri, which looks something of a risk.

Rosicky is down. He took a knock to the face, it seems.

"Stand up for the Orient" rings out.

Daniels out on the left, Cox tackled by Squilacci. Gibbs has to hack clear when Arsenal looked in danger.

Played to Daniels and flicked up to McGleish. His header looped over and behind for a goal-kick.

Miguel forced to clear behind. Corner to Orient!

Ball played across by Revell but no-one gets to it - not even anyone from Arsenal.

Chorley blocks a Rosicky pass that was headed for Chamakah, and the O's actually get the ball.

This time he did something else. Great run through, with nice skill and a shot that went wide. Better but as so often with Diaby, not good enough.

Diaby makes another of his powerful runs and does exactly what he has kept doing - ending it by passing backwards.

But Henderson comes away with the ball. A slow build-up it is, but Rosicky's flick is blocked and Denilson's shot is at Jones.

Leyton Orient need an early goal. They go on the attack.

We are back underway at the Emirates. Bendtner will be looking for his third, one reckons.

Almunia went chasing off his line and was bailed out by Squilacci.

Eboue's ball in and it's cleared. The Emirates looks empty at pitchside, as it's clearly time for a deep-fried camembert bagel with sun-dried tomatoes.

A TV shot of Steve 'Interesting' Davis, also known as the "Romford Nugget', in the crowd. He's a director of the O's who need snookers to get back into this game - apologies to the overseas audience for that parochial 'humour'.

Bendtner will fancy a hat-trick. In fact, he'll fancy a double hat-trick. He probably does before every game.

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> 3-0. Bendtner scores with a drive from the end of the box that curves round Jones. A lovely finish, and an end to this contest.

Miguel shows a neat swerve to dig his way from trouble. He has class, and may well be a new Pique, who often played for Manchester United against such opposition.

Bendtner fails to read a Denilson flick. Arsenal's players sat under blankets. It seems it is a cold night.

Arsenal already considering their weekend and next midweek plans, one reckons.

Henderson to take a free-kick - confidence shown in his ability - ball aimed at Miguel and it was good but Jones got there to claim when it needed a touch.

Bendtner muscled out. Diaby passes across and back - he's done a lot of it - Rosicky looks for room. Bendtner fouled and falls theatrically.

Arsenal playing with a cigar on here.

Long ball played in from the left and Almunia warms what must be rather cold hands.

Orient need to push into attack but to do so could lead to embarassment.

You can forget "Viva Las Vegas". Roy Orbison's "It's Over" is far more appropriate. Roy had the better voice anyway.

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Arsenal lead 2-0 and on their way. Bendtner climbs to head a Gibbs header looping over keeper Jones.

Eboue cuts in only to fresh air a pass when he had created a situation.

Orient have the ball...to a quiet stadium. Not much coming from their fans here - rather like an afternoon at Brisbane Road, from my experience. I blame the flats in the corner of the pitch.

Gibbs' cross headed away. Orient defending deep and well at the moment.

Gunners have had loads of possession and the break is the O's best chance of glory, but they have been pinned back for some time.

Chamakh flicked it, where he knew not, and Dawson hacked clear.

Denilson has a crack but drags his shot straight at Jamie Jones.

Henderson looks neat but without the drive of Wilshere from this cameo.

Ben Chorley is having some treatment. He looks in some pain after hurting himself in challenging Chamakh.

Rosicky saw FA Cup glory and shoots very wide indeed. He is not in form, it is fair to say.

Chamakah tried to get on the end of a Gibbs ball but missed the target and looks as if he has taken a knock.

Henderson tackled by Dawson as he seemed to be bearing in on goal.

Jones nearly played himself into trouble but was bailed out by Forbes.

Rosicky fails to find Chamakh, who despite his goal has looked lacking in confidence.

They have had chances. We're not done yet.

Close again for Orient! Lovely run out wide. And Revell missed the target with a cute finish.

Orient win a throw, much to the anger of Arsenal fans, who seem unusually loud tonight. Perhaps it's a different group than it normally is.

Gunners nearly score again. Henderson's ball plays in Gibbs. His pass rebounds behind. Corner results, and is eventually cleared. Arsenal camped in their opponent's half.

Ooof. Chance there. Corner found Ben Chorley at the edge of the box and his shot was goalward but came off a team-mate to loop over the bar.

Orient have a corner.

Oh dear, the Cup of Dreams has suffered a dash of reality. Can the reverie be revived?

Rosicky found himself in space on the right and his pass across the six-yard box found Chamakh, who was able to break his duck with a finish that came off the post but was aimed there too.

Goal to Arsenal!

Orient had a break on but an offside meant they failed to make much of Arsenal's rather high line.

Bendtner went to sleep as the ball seemed as if it was headed his way.

Jason Crowe down the wing, and he forces a throw. Which Arsenal come away with.

Meanwhile at the Emirates, Orient are subject to pressure. Rosicky was looking threatening, which is a rarity these days.

Over at Eastlands and Yaya Toure has scored. Manchester City 1-0 Aston Villa.

Arsenal gain a foothold with some patient passing.

Henderson gets his first touch. Ball went to Jones - it was a bit heavy.

An early piece of pressure sees youngster Miguel twice forced to head clear. Ball eventually back with keeper Jamie Jones of Orient.

Right then, off we go. Orient take the kick off.

An early goal for Arsenal and we would suggest not. Let's see.

We had Ireland beating England at cricket - all the details on Cricinfo of course, now can we see the sights of an even bigger shock?

The League One visitors have named Tehoue on the bench while captain Stephen Dawson fought off a knee injury to start for the visitors.

There is no sign of Koscielny though Szczesny will watch from the bench as the experience of Almunia is called on. Meanwhile a debut is given to Conor Henderson, a "technically astute, ball-playing midfielder" according to Arsenal's website.

Rosicky and Eboue started then and do again here, while Bendtner and Chamakh get a spin, after doing little as subs in the Carling Cup finals.

Birmingham look gigantic as compared to Orient, and they delivered an amazing finish at the weekend. Very few of Arsenal's Wembley weepers are in the starting XI, and this looks a team without stars.

Barry Hearn would be unbearable if Leyton Orient win, and that may be a price worth paying if we see one of the greatest shocks of the tournament's history.

What a late finish that was at Brisbane Road when Jonathan Tehoue grabbed the equaliser. The magic of the Cup of dreams was there for all to see.
