I should say, three months before their last meeting Southampton won an FA Cup tie at St Mary's 2-1. Liebherr only took them out of administration last July.
The fans are right up for this one. They haven't met since April 2005, when Pompey thrashed Saints 4-1 in the season they went down. Don't forget they both share a common link, namely a certain Harry Redknapp.
Southampton might be in League One but they are very much the healthier of the two clubs. The threat of a winding up order still looms large over Pompey, who are due back in court this week, but Saints overcame their dire financial straits of a few years back thanks to German-born businessman Markus Liebherr.
