*SOME EMPTY SEATS KLAXON*

Purists will be pleased to hear that tonight it is Inter's famous black and blue versus Spurs' white - none of this red strip nonsense from the first leg.

The teams are in the tunnel, and my ready meal is out of the microwave. We are in business, people.

Inter might breath a sigh of relief Bale is unavailable, as the last time these two sides met at the San Siro this of course happened: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxtjtaIgmRk

The starting of Adebayor AND Defoe raises eye-brows. Andre Villas-Boas perhaps is thinking 'attack is the best form of defence'. Furthermore, it is a little surprising the likes of Walker and Dembele start - both could do with a rest.

Spurs are of course without their star man Gareth Bale through suspension after he was booked in the first leg for diving, an offence some would have you believe is the WORST THING IN FOOTBALL. Regardless of your views on the matter, him being out of the second meeting is hardly a blow, for Spurs should see this out, ensuring the Welshman is fresh for the weekend.

The goal was a rare occasion when a downwards header actually works. Coaches urge you to do this, but how often do you see these types of headers go in?

Spurs respond via a Sigurdsson shot, that threaten to creep into the corner but is palmed away by Handanovic.

Guarin finds space on the right and feeds in a perfect cross to the back post. Cassano is there and executes a downward header that bounces up into the roof of the net. Game on, and that.

Just seen a replay of the Gallas challenge, albeit in real time. Cassano was certainly eager to go down. 'Seem them given', though.

Penalty shout! Cassano gets goalside of Gallas and crumples to the floor under what seemed to be little contact from the Frenchman. The ref was having none of it.

Inter have had most of their joy down their right flank. Naughton could do with a little more protection.

Livermore goes into the book for time-wasting.

Cassano races onto a long ball on the right-hand side. He can either shoot or cross. He goes for the strike, but it is low and straight at Friedel, who smothers.

Goal machine Vertonghen almost gets on the end of a cross to the back post.

Sigurdsson swings in the corner but Palacio is there to nod clear.

Defoe picks up the ball about 20 yards out. He shifts it onto his right and looks for a curler, but his strike clips the defender and is out for a corner.

Cassano is flagged offside. He was off by five yards.

Walker gets a telling off from the ref amid an attempt at minor time-wasting.

Cassano attempts a one-two with Guarin, but Gallas is there to cut out smartly.

Poor from Adebayor as he lazily tries a flick-on, when simple hold up play would have sufficed.

Cassano has the chance the put a decent ball in from the right but seems to panic and ends up pea-rolling one straight to Friedel.

Vertonghen goes crashing into Cassano and wins the ball. The latter is on the deck, displeased. Last night, in the Arsenal game, that would have been a foul.

Parker finds himself weigh up the field. As nose bleeds go, there is claret everywhere (they're isn't).

Sigurdsson takes it but Chivu heads away. Spurs enjoying possession now, popping it about nicely.

Sigurdsson, operating on the left, earns an early free-kick. Spurs to float it in from here, you'd think.

KICK-OFF: Inter get us under way.
