Udinese against Liverpool

Liverpool corner now and neither side looks interested.

The game drifting slowly towards its conclusion now. I'm just about staying awake.

Liverpool boss Rodgers and Udinese forward Pereyra with a bit of handbags on the touchline after the former refused to give the latter the ball.

Just a reminder that as things stand Liverpool lead Group A, with Young Boys heading out even if they beat Anzhi.

Badu strikes the resulting free-kick into the wall.

Carragher now gets a yellow after Fabbrini goes down.

Liverpool corner. Shelvey to take. Caught again by Padelli.

Badu also booked for dissent in that melee

A second yellow card for the left-back, who brought down Sterling after a smart turn from the Liverpool winer.

Pasquale given his marching orders.

Long diagonal pass from Enrique towards Suarez but he's pickpocketed and Udinese launch an attack.

Danilo rises highest but heads just wide of the left post.

And another. Corner this time. Can Udinese make this pressure count?

Another set-piece for Udinese, with the box packed full of black-and-white shirts.

Suarez needs some support as he's escaped down the right with not a red shirt in sight.

Pasquale gets through and again crosses but again Skrtel is a match for it.

Pasquale's volley crucially blocked by Carragher.

Sterling on for Suso.

Allen booked for bringing down Fabbrini in full flight.

Liverpool preparing to bring on Raheem Sterling.

Faraoni the latest man to look very uncomfortable. Walking gingerly.

Suarez twinkle-toes his way through the Udinese defence and Padelli has made another sensational save to palm his shot over the bar.

Pasquale deservedly booked for that challenge on Suso.

Suso wins a free-kick on the left wing after Pasquale goes through the back of him.

Poor delivery from Shelvey, straight into Padelli's grateful grasp.

Wonderful save from Padelli to turn Henderson's volley from Enrique's cross over the bar. Quality reactions.

17-year-old Reinthaler on for Benatia to make his debut.

Benatia is down and asking for attention. He only came on at half-time for Pinzi but may well be heading off again.

Pasquale goes in high on Suarez but despite almost putting his studs on the striker's face manages to avoid any further action.

@Peej_Jones on Twitter: Liverpool need to keep the ball. Their defense is too leaky to park the bus.

Ranegie's header zips inches over. I think Reina would have got his hands on it if it was lower, but he was unmarked.

Pablo Armero escapes down the left, his cross is headed out for a corner by Skrtel.

Carragher concedes the foul against Ranegie.

Lovely football from Liverpool - crisp one-touch passing between Allen, Suarez and Suso.

There's been a lot more urgency to Udinese's play so far in this half.

It's 2-1 to Young Boys against Anzhi in Berne. If Liverpool were to concede now they would be out.

Fabbrini and Ranegie exchange passes but Fabbrini's shot is blocked.

Badu with a VERY speculative effort from distance, which unsurprisingly doesn't trouble Reina.

Stats: Liverpool's previous record against Italian teams reads: W8 D5 L11.

And again they can't after a decent initial flick-on by Faraoni.

Udinese corner now, they haven't made any of them count yet.

Excellent run from Allen (think that's the first time I've mentioned him tonight!) but his final pass towards Suarez is a rare misplaced one.

Suso dispossessed twice in quick succession 10 yards outside his own penalty box. A little risky.

Suarez again doing really well to hold the ball up. He then strikes it from the edge of the box but it rises up and over the bar.

Excellent run from Suarez and he plays it through to Suso. Unmarked he swings a right boot at it and skies it over the bar. Lack of composure from the youngster.

Udinese 0-1 Liverpool. Henderson's goal has Liverpool ahead and heading through. It's been a pretty uneventful first half aside from the goal but the Reds got better and better as the half went on.

And there's the half-time whistle.

An overhead kick on the six-yard line tipped over brilliantly by Padelli.

Superb effort from Suarez...

Another corner for Liverpool now, forced by Johnson. The right-back and Enrique on the left have both been impressive.

Liverpool of course lost this reverse fixture at Anfield. It was a 3-2 defeat, with Giovanni Pasquale's cracking strike the difference between the sides.

Suarez fires over from the right of the area. Ambitious effort from a tight angle, with his team-mates screaming for the cross.

Superb strength by Johnson to tackle and then ride a challenge himself, but he fails to find Suarez with his subsequent pass.

Cross towards Suso at the near post but his attempted flick is a bit heavy and drifts out of play.

Corner now for Liverpool, won by Suarez, who has been his usual busy presence self up front tonight.

That means Liverpool top the group as things stand.

Young Boys have scored in tonight's other game - Zarate putting them 1-0 up against Anzhi.

A speedy counter-attack from Enrique straight down the other end, he looks to cut back to Suarez but the goalkeeper is down to intercept and keep the ball with the Uruguayan in close attendance.

Free-kick for Udinese is delivered towards Pereyra, whose header is goalwards but booted clear by Carragher.

I really wish I could give you more regular updates but there's just not a great deal happening at the moment. A tad dull.

Suso booked for kicking the ball away. Silly yellow card.

Fabbrini strikes a low effort from around 20 yards out and Reina did well to get down and hold onto the ball.

Suarez looked like he was going to race clear but just drifted offside.

Easily dealt with by Liverpool.

Skrtel penalised and Faraoni will deliver it into the box.

Stats: Udinese's previous home clashes against English sides in Europe have brought a victory over Tottenham and a defeat to Arsenal.

@Peej_Jones on Twitter: Who would have thought the words lovely interchange and downing would be anywhere near each other

Suarez fed Shelvey, whose first shot was blocked and second bite - a cross - was headed away.

Liverpool have looked so much better since the goal went in. Playing some great flowing football now.

I tell a lie, it was because the ball had gone out of play before Downing crossed.

Liverpool had the ball in the back of the net as Downing crossed and Johnson prodded home. But Downing was offside when he got to the byline.

Lovely interchange between Suarez and Downing, and then between Henderson and Suarez.

It is also Henderson's first ever away goal for Liverpool and his first ever European strike.

Udinese 0-1 Liverpool. Suarez's header reaches Suso and he lays up Henderson, who struck low and through the goalkeeper's legs. First goal of the season for Henderson.

GOAL Henderson puts Liverpool ahead.

This time though he hits the wall. And the ball is deflected out for a corner.

Faraoni tackles Suarez but then fouls Shelvey. Suarez to take the free-kick from 25 yards out and central. He scored from a similar position against Udinese at Anfield.

Reina volleyed the ball 90 yards down the pitch and Suarez almost latched onto it.

Stats: This is the first time that Udinese have failed to qualify for the knockout stage in their four UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League group stage campaigns.

Pereyra tried to catch out Reina with a cheeky chip, but the Liverpool keeper did well to tip it over.

Liverpool clear their lines though.

Corner for Udinese now.

Fabbrini lunges in late on Shelvey and is promptly booked.

Enrique has looked dangerous early on, foraging forward where possible but without producing the end product as yet.

But it just dips wide. Reina was beaten.

Ranegie's header looks like it's creeping in...

Suso whips in a left-foot cross from the right wing but it's punched away by Padelli.

The game's a little bit stale at the moment, and the stadium is ridiculously empty. I know Udinese are already out, but surely any match warrants more than a handful of supporters.

Shelvey's first contribution is a shot from outside the area that he drags wide.

The nosebleed came from a hand-off by Renegie. Hopefully not a broken nose.

Shelvey on for Sahin.

Sahin has been getting some attention after suffering a nosebleed and it looks like it may be more serious than first thought as Jonjo Shelvey is being readied.

Stats: Udinese goalkeeper Daniele Padelli played for Liverpool in 2007 on loan from Sampdoria, maing one appearance.

Skrtel with a marauding run forward, he passes it to Suarez but the Uruguayan is dispossessed.

Sahin floats it in but goalkeeper Padelli beats Skrtel to in and punches it clear.

Suarez pressures Pasquale into conceding a corner.

Udinese came into this one on the back of an impressive 4-1 victory over Cagliari.

Remarkably Liverpool can still finish top, second, third or fourth in the group - it's really gone down to the wire.

Skrtel and Ranegie clash heads, it looked painful but both are okay.

The ball pings around in the area but Carragher eventually hoofs it clear.

An early corner for Udinese.

Right, we're off...

Complicated, I know!

So if Liverpool win they are definitely through. If Liverpool win and Young Boys beat Anzhi, the Reds will finish top of the group. If Liverpool lose, they are out and Young Boys go through, regardless of whether they beat Anzhi.
