Barcelona against Internazionale

Ball to hand almost certainly.. but the goal has not been given. Wow.

Bojan smashes it into the roof of the net, but the ref calls him back when Yaya Toure handballs to slot him through.

GOAL! But no, handball is it?

Maxwell fakes to shoot and slides the ball into the box. Lucio is there again.

Pedro does very well down the right and wins a corner.

Alves mishit finds Bojan in the box. Great control to drop it back to Messi, but Chivu closes the door.

Messi slips it through to Alves, but the defender goes down. Pen? No, Muntari was holding him, but not enough for a spot kick.

Good header away from Lucio and he goes down with what is obviously a fake injury. Up again and ready to repel Barca again though.

Now Messi has a go. He finds some space and hits it straight at the keeper.

Save! Xavi has a shot and Cesar beats it away. Bit of movement on the ball.

Alves trying to pull strings. Searching and probing for an opening.

Maicon does really well to nick it away from Pedro. Mariga is chasing the ball down in an effort to keep Barca moving away from goal.

Eto'o is coming off, and Mariga is coming on. Inter won't attack now, but can they hang on?

Oh wait, you can't, well it's very loud. Now they have some hope! One more needed.

Listen to the noise!

Xavi slots the ball down the left to Pique, who was right on the edge of offside, he's through on goal and turn brilliantly to sell a dummy to Cordoba and Cesar and slot it into an empty net!

GOAL! What a finish from Pique! Barcelona 1-0!

Oh dear. Best chance of the night by a long shot. He really should have done better there.

Oh what a chance! Bojan heads wide from just outside the six-yard box. Messi curls it in and the little man heads wide. Massive miss!

Diego Milito off, Cordoba on. The door is being kept shut.

Messi trying to do everything himself. Runs at Cambiasso, but is crowded out. Hard to run past 11 players alone...

Pique is moving up front to try and get Barca a goal. Is Pep regretting taking Ibra off?

Messi and Pedro combine, but again the ball is blocked. 96,000 in the stadium and you can hear the 6,000 odd Inter fans...

Eto'o plays left-back to get Inter out of trouble. Jeffren gets the ball across the box, but there isn't a single Barca player there. Why on earth not???

Ref, seriously, this is football not netball. I've never seen so many players penalised for jumping.

Pedro cross is blocked and, once again, it goes for a corner. Barca have no height with Ibra though and, AGAIN, it's another free-kick.

Victor Valdes almost playing on his own halfway line. No need for him to be there really.

If I had a pound for everytime Inter have broken up the play from just outside their own box... I'd probably have enough to retire.

Maxwell crosses well but Inter stand firm. There is very little they can do to get anywhere near the goal.

Messi stopped by Cambiasso, he's been very good this game. All over the place and mopping up the ball.

Keita lets fly from 30 yards out and it's really poor again. Barca resorted to shooting from miles out.

Not sure there's been a corner yet without a foul.. what on earth?

4 players in the final third for Inter.. wow.. haven't seen that all game. They surely can't be going for a goal can they?

Inter playing the clock down now. The tricks are coming out.

Messi playing like a midfielder now, chasing the ball and trynig to pull the strings. Actually, he's their best bet to get a goal, so it's going to be tough.

Pique flies in to tackle Eto'o. Very well timed tackle.

Julio Cesar gets a warning for wasting time. He has to be careful as he's been booked already.

Alves put the ball across when he found some space and Maicon knocks it behind. Goal kick is given though.. this ref is not having a good game.

It's all just being played in front of the Inter defence. In truth, the Italians are looking fairly comfortable.

Yaya Toure once again has a go from miles out. Very poor. Frustration if anything.

Ibra crowded out, but manages to get the ball back. Down the left and Maxwell wastes the cross.

Ibra is pushed to the floor in the box by Lucio. Ref waves him away though. No pen.

Keita again is the man charging forward from midfield, but he's penalised for a foul on Lucio.

Inter get a few men forward, but it doesn't last long. Barcelona back in control. Ibra now tries to flick it on with his heel, but misses out.

Maicon goes down and buys a foul from the ref. He's been tricked again.

Pedro floats it in to the box, but Cesar comes and claims. Barcelona will need more than that.

Xavi chips it in again to Keita and Maicon did well to follow his run.

Alves just caught offside. He'll be pushing forward with reckless abandon.

Sneijder almost dispossesses Pique. Alves and Maxwekk bombing on from full-back.

Inter free-kick and Chivu has a go from about 55 yards. Miles wide.

Jose maybe playing some mind games there.. but the second half kicks off.

Maxwell will come on for Milito and will play left-back. Inter taking their sweet time to come back out.

So Inter, down to 10 men, are still in the lead. They have defended, Barcelona have attacked, but Inter have been solid and have restricted the Spanish side to only one really good chance. More in 15...

Messi finds Toure down the right, but he can't cross and it flies over the bar. Really poor.

Inter offering nothing by the way of a counter attack. Sneijder wastes a long pass to Milito, but there was nothing on anyway.

Keita goes down in the box far too easy when the cross comes in. Maicon was the man marking him, but that was never a penalty.

Great triangles of passing from Barca. Pedro releases Keita who bursts down the right into the box. Lucio does well to win a goal kick from that.

Julio Cesar booked for wasting time now. It's started already.

Ibra breaks and what a lazy pass that was to Xavi. Sneijder cut it out so easy. Really poor when Barca could have had a good chance.

That was a potentially game saving.. erm.. save.

So close! What a wonderful save from Julio Cesar. Messi took a yard of space, curled it, and the keeper at full stretch tipped it around the post.

Handball shout by the crowd, but Lucio used his chest to stop Pedro's cross.

Damage limitation for Inter until half-time methinks. Barca are pressing, but Julio Cesar still hasn't made a save.

It's all Barca, still. Chivu has come inside to a DM role and Eto'o is playing wide left.

Right, Inter, with 10 men, now have an uphill struggle. Motta would have been lucky to stay on the pitch anyway to be honest, he'd already been booked.

After all that, Jose is going crazy on the touchline. It's taking a while to sort out.

It didn't look much, Busquets made quite a meal of it, but it was a hand off to the face.

Good cross from Alves, Ibra finds room and cushions a header back across the box. Xavi is there, but it doesn't come down and Inter get bodies in the way.

Almost a neat pass from Messi to Pedro, but it is closed down by Cambiasso.. just.

Diego Milito all alone on the right near the corner flag.. is he playing for time? There's no-one else around him, so perhaps.

Brilliant turn from Xavi got him away from Sneijder for once, but he chose to pass to Messi instead of shoot. He should have shot.

Handball from Ibra. Ball was chipped in and he controlled it with his arm.

Pedro and Xavi combine and Lucio does well after Chivu fails to deal with a through ball. Inter are back in numbers though and Barca are struggling to break through.
