Barcelona against Bayern Munich

Great play by Iniesta and Butt was strong from the attempted cross.

Bayern enjoying some possession... in the 87th minute

Ribery finally beats a man and gets to the byline. His cutback is cut and the ball comes back to him... only for Ribery to misplace his pass.

Oddo goes down injured and will need treatment

You rarely see a first half mauling repeated in the second. And this is the case here

Chelsea still lead 3-1 at Liverpool

A second change for Barca as Gnegneri Yaya Toure is off and on comes Sergi Busquets

Great cross by Alves on the right, Oddo nods it behind for a corner

Keep ball from Barca - 96,000 fans delighted

Tonu plays a blind reverse ball for Ribery which only finds Marquez. Terrible

Super play from Iniesta. The Bayern defenders back off and back off in the box allowing Iniesta to get off his shot, but it's lifted over. Should have at least hit the target

We're just running down the final 15 minutes or so here now

A change for Barcelona as José Ernesto Sosa comes on for Ze Roberto

Iniesta almost manages to play Eto'o in but Butt is out sharply

A change for Barcelona now as Thierry Henry makes way for Seydou Keita

Superb block by Puyol just as Ze Roberto was about to fire home. Will that be their only chance?

Ze Roberto is in! Bayern can get the away goal!

Xavi plays it in, Toni is back to head away

Free-kick to Barca just outside the box on the right on the angle. Messi hits it and it's deflected behind for a corner

Bayern's only real hope is surely an away goal. They just dare not attack

We've seen nothing from the likes of Ribery and Schweinsteiger... anonymous

Barcelona still well on top, but the foot is definitely off the pedal now

No - just to prove me wrong, Marquez gets his head to Iniesta's delivery but it's well wide

Another corner. Will it be taken short?

Barcelona take their corners short every time, they'd rather work the ball into the box than lump in a traditional corner

Another corner off an Alves cross

Liverpool 1-3 Chelsea. Drogba. Amazing stuff tonight

Ze Roberto with a petulant foul on Alves

Great play again from Messi, sublime

What a save! Messi cuts inside and hits a rasping drive which Butt manages to get something on and push it onto and over the bar

Remember, as it stands right now Bayern Munich are not even in the Champions League qualification places for next season. Unless they react to this it will be the Europa League at best

Demichelis enters the book

Liverpool 1-2 Chelsea. Ivanovic again!

Again it's taken short and worked, eventuall Marquez has the shot but he doesn't catch it right

Corner to Barca, Alves' cross cut out.

Still all Barcelona, Bayern penned in

Ze Roberto is caught late by Iniesta

Xavi almost finds Messi with the worked move but the pass is cut out

Odoo's got no chance against the pace of Henry, who is brought down before he can cause more damage on the left flank

Toni goes flying in the box looking for a penalty. There's no contact and the flag was already up for offside.

Free-kick then. Iniesta takes but it goes over everyone.

Messi is felled by Lell out on the right flank and this time it will be a yellow

If Barca are allowed the same space and freedom in midfield then Bayern will be picked off time and time again. Do they have the character to battle?

Bayern must score an away goal without reply. And that's the stand at least a sniff back on home turf

Finally we've started with the Liverpool game in the 51st minute!

A change for Bayern as defensive midfielder Andreas Ottl is on for Hamit Altintop

Bayern have now let in nine goals in the last 91 minutes. Oh my.

Still waiting for the players to return. Have Bayern gone home?

Stunning. Simply stunning. Bayern have been blown away by a mesmerising display from Barcelona. It's four, it could be seven and might yet end up being if Barcelona want it. See you in 15.

And there it is - half-time and relief for Bayern

It should be six. A right scramble and Alves just can't force it home.

Four minutes to be added on

Great interplay from Bayern found Ribery clear in the box but he dragged his shot across goal rather than at the target

Not even half-time in the first leg, and this tie could well be over

Messi got a elbow in face from Van Bommel in that move. Referee Webb did well to allow the play to develop but no card for Van Bommel who should be off

Messi and Eto'o link up, it breaks to Henry who coolly slides the ball past Butt and into the back of the net

4-0!!!

Ole! The Barca fans are in fine voice.

Long-ranger from Henry - always going over

Bayern have barely been able to get out of their own half. They must regroup at half-time or get hammered

Corner to Barca again, work short once more - Iniesta's cross-shot goes out

Goal at Anfield. It's 1-1. Ivanovic!

So, so easy. Henry put the turbo boosters on to get past Oddo, take out Butt with the cut-back and there was Messi with the tap-in

GOAL!!!

Great burst of pace from Henry, he gets to the byline and pulls it back for Messi...

Messi shows determination in the box to find Eto'o, his shot is deflected over. Barca take the corner short and it comes to nothing

Ze Roberto is tripped in centre midfield by Xavi

Ze Roberto is tripped in centre midfield by Xavi

Now Xavi's pass goes wrong, deflected to Butt. What's going on?

It comes in from the left from Iniesta but it's into the grasp of Butt

Corner to Barcelona. More danger

Woeful and optimistic from Alves, firing well wide from distance and an angle

Barcelona have averaged three goals a game this season. I'd be shocked if they do not keep this up

Poor ball for once, Iniesta's ball to Messi was overhit

Barceola haven't had a shot for a while. Won't be long...

Barcelona still completely in control of the football. Bayern can't get the ball - unless Butt is clearing

Bayern will hope that interlude will give them the chance to regroup. They cannot go on like this, completely over-run in the middle and being cut apart like a knife into butter

We're off again.

Butt has about five cuts across his cheek. That is nasty. Change of shirt is needed due to the blood stains

Henry seems to be okay, but Butt is struggling here. His face is getting lengthy treatment and is being patched up

Henry and Butt clashed after the shot, both sliding on the slick surface and Butt got the studs directly in the face. He's in a bad way

...Henry's first time pass-shot goes a yard wide. It should be three

Iniesta feeds Henry in, right through the middle and it must be...

Free-kick to Bayern on the left, Ribery floats it in and Valdes is not convincing but Barca still clear

Guardiola still is unhappy. He doesn't want to leave but is being forced to

Wonderful play from Alves on the burst, he gets it out wide for Messi who tries the return pass and the wingback cannot shoot on target

The fall out continues. Pep Guardiola has been sent off for his protests about the lack of a penalty and the card shown to Messi

Messi certainly played for it, but you'd get a penalty there 90% of the time

Messi turns Lell with ease. He goes down and it looks like a penalty - No! And a yellow card comes out for the dive.

Altintop gives the ball away in his own area to Xavi and he shoots - but it's always going over

Iniesta takes, it hits the top of the wall

The free-kick is 30 yards out and central. The wall is marched back

Foul by Demichelis on Eto'o

You would not think this is a Champions League quarter-final. Barca could do to Bayern what the German outfit did to Sporting Lisbon in the last round

Wonderful reverse pass from Messi, Eto'o onto it and firing under Butt and into the back of the net. Suspicion of offside but the officials got it right

GOAL!!!

Eto'o's free..

Cross from Messi on the right, Oddo makes a bit of a hash of cutting it out but luckily for him it drops to goalkeeper Butt

Marquez ia hacked down by Ribery, no card though from Mr Webb

This tie could be over tonight, Bayern look at sixes and sevens at the back

Snap shot from Toni, always going wide

Messi had acres of space as Lell left him free just inside the box. It was simple for the star man as he stroked it home into the corner with his left

GOAL!!!!

The space is worked by Eto'o, feeding in the unmarked Messi...

Break from Bayern, Ze Roberto tucks it back for the onrushing Schweinsteiger who just fails to connect on the slide

Barcelona are rampant now. Bayern creaking

...it's run a little wide by Henry, he still gets his shot off but it's weak and Demichelis can clear off the line

Brilliant play from Barcelona as Xavi's reverse pass sends Henry through, he rounds the keeper...

Ribery is brought down by Alves

Will Bayern aim to contain this talented Barca side rather than look for the away goal?

Barca enjoyed possession early doors

Handball by Henry, early free-kick to Bayern in their own half

And we're off!

Bayern, hammered in the Bundesliga at the weekend, have several injury woes including Miroslav Klose

Barca are pretty much at full strength and are hot favourites.

Thought there was no English interest in this game? Wrong. The referee is Howard Webb.
